About the Teacher

In February of 2010, Bri completed her teacher's training course in Sivananda Yoga, in India. Her choice to study Sivananda came from a deep desire to learn a more traditional form of Yoga that encompasses spirituality as well as the physical benefits produced by asanas. She has taught yoga in her travels, both in groups and individual sessions, and now is offering private sessions in Nevada City. 

Sivananda Yoga

Sivananda is a traditional Hatha style yoga composed of 12 basic postures. Each session begins with a chant, pranyama, Sun Salutions, and then a series on asanas based on the 12 poses listed below. Classes are offered in beginners format, but I am also willing to work with intermediate students who wish to deepen their practice.
